Currently, we are using 70% of our freshwater resources and more than 35% of our land surface for food production. Traditional land agriculture cannot fulfill the increase in food demands to feed 9.8 billion people in 2050. Moving our farmland to the ocean and increasing the ratio of food production from the sea is a good solution to mitigate the pressure on land.
